Fluid Flow.  
(1) Liquid fuel flows through a 2.5 cm diameter hose, with a velocity of 12 m/s. Find the rate of flow in gallons per minute. Determine the time required to fill a 5000gallons tank. (Gallon = 3.785 liter) Solution.


(2) Determine the diameter of a hose if it is to deliver 3300 lt of petroleum in 5 min, with a velocity of 5 m/s. Solution.


(3) Gasoline from a 2.5cm diameter pipe emerges horizontally at 5 gallons each minute. Determine the horizontal range of the liquid jet, when the pipe is at 1 m from the ground. (Gallon = 3.785 liter) Solution.


(4) Determine the number of gallons of liquid emerging from a 5.29cm diameter pipe, during 10 min, with a velocity of 5 m/s. (Gallon = 3.785 liter) Solution.
